Really educative article.
I couldn’t read it all, but i have learnt a whole lot still. My favourit spices are ginger, curry, thyme and ground pepper. I just began to embrace garlic, both fresh or in powder form and it’s just super amazing. I like to research on how i can add more value to my meals without depending largely on stock cubes.
Using spices in meals, just takes my meals to a totally different level. A level where i really don’t want to do anything without spices.
Chinese cuisine is famous around the world. Probably because of their own cooking skills and technique which is really different from the west. My favorite menu comes from the Schichuan region. Dish may he simple bit the taste is explosive.
At present, Chinese ingridients are much easier to purchase because it’s available in most parts of the world. One can never go wrong with the recipe as long as you follow the right ingridients. An example is the soy sauce; theirs is rich, heavy and tasty. Others would have a very light and subtle taste. The ingridients that are a staple in my kitchen would be Aji-no-moto that I put on many types of dishes – stir fried, stew, broth and fried. I also like to put a bit on fresh salad. Others that make my dishes flavorful are anise, all spice and bay leaves. Put them all together would make your braised dish really flavorful.
Thanks for sharing this. I have yet to discover how to incorporate some ingridients to my dish such as cardamom.

Another delicious Chinese food, hmm. There is no step in this guide I didn’t grab. Very interesting and easy to follow. What’s is the reason why the chicken that are mixed with honey sauce are out inside refrigerator overnight? I need to get the clue. When using the kitchen paper to absorb the water in it, hope the sauce ingredients won’t wear off? Oh, I got it now, honey is like a binder. Am I right?
Hi Stella. You are right that the kitchen paper used to absorb the water. The chicken would be tasteful when mixed with honey sauce put inside the refrigerator overnight. Hmm, the honey would make the chicken more delicious, not as a binder. You can have a try.
